Chef Kayt is a wife and mother of two, a passionate Epicurean, and an enthusiastic supporter of humane, ethical practices in husbandry of animals. With about ten years of restaurant experience and a lifelong curiosity for technique and food culture, she currently cooks with a focus on how food can be used as a tool for better mental, emotional, and physical health. After a lifelong struggle with depression, she was able to discontinue pharmaceutical interventions through the use of dietary methods centered around holistically raised meats, dairy, and produce.
She started coming to 7th Heaven Farm as a meat customer and has since taken on the role of in-home personal chef and on-premise caterer. Chef Kayt offers a variety of farm-to-table services with a focus on locally and ethically sourced ingredients, including meal prepping for busy families, cooking instruction for all ages, and catering for anniversaries, birthday parties, holidays, and gatherings. She specializes in creating seasonally minded, satisfying meals for people with dietary restrictions, such as allergies or diabetes.
